Indian Kids Books

Hello, my name is Priya Patel. The creation of this book was a happy accident. Like many during the pandemic, I made A LOT of banana bread :), got a puppy, and also reconnected with some of my passions.

I’ve always loved drawing and painting. I began doodling a few Hindu Gods just for fun and showed them to my husband. He mentioned they would be great for a kid’s book. At that time, I didn’t really take it too seriously, but I continued to get additional encouragement from family and friends.

As I started creating this book, I quickly realized how complex many of the stories are. My goal was to engage kids into Hindu culture without overwhelming them. Thus, what started off as a creative outlet evolved into my first book.
